A CHANGING HEART
Back tracking to the moment the phone rings at Bella's and Jacob picks it up. What if he hadn't? What if Bella had picked it up? Edward wouldn't have gone to the Volturi. There would be no reason for Bella to save him. No reason for them to know that she is a human who knows entirely too much about vampires.
Would Edward have come back? Eventually yes, with the rest of the Cullens in tow.
Its the end of spring break and Bella is heading back to school, however pulling into the parking lott she spies a familiar looking silver volvo. Could it be? Her mind is else where. Asking questions. Why are they here? Why is he back? What does he want? What about Jacob?
Ever since Edward left Jacob has filled in the holes of her heart, making her feel human again. That is a mark that she can't get rid of. What if she doesn't want to get rid of it, what if she wants what she already had, what took Edwards place? What if her heart has changed?
Without thinking Bella heads down to La Push, unable to deal with the Cullens. And that was it. Her changing heart is all it took. Stepping out of the truck and turning to see Jacob there waiting it happened. He imprinted. All because her heart was his to take.
