For centuries, werewolves and vampires warred with each other over who had the right to dominate the world. They both used the humans to their advantage, whether using them as food, distractions, or sometimes they just used their houses and towns. The long waging war was never decided, and some think that it never will be.
Three hundred years ago humans had finally grown the balls to attempt to stop their race from becoming chew toys and food to the werewolves and vampires and so the Hunters were born. They started out crude and laughable, going after vampires with puny wooden sticks and after werewolves with silver daggers. However, as time changed so did the Hunters, and suddenly their weapons were more advanced. There were crossbows that shot wooden stakes faster than a vampire could move and werewolves were being brought down by silver bullets.
It didn't take long after the invention of these new weapons that the newer generations of werewolves and vampires decided to take action. Against the wishes of the older generations, the warring races took a stand together against the Hunters, and still they stand together. Working with the other to bring down the Hunters as the Hunters are working to bring them down.
